We are Space Marines Captain we made the choice. We became the Emperors Chosen. We are the Emperors Chosen. We will die the Emperors Chosen. If it should come to that.
-34th Lord Commander Davos Veston M36 Y678 Segmentum Ultima
The Human Ideal, what is that. It is not us mostly likely, we have had our share of failings. The XVI and their brush with darkness, the Sons of Lorgar. Need I say more?
-Captain Aderos Galdon, I/9th Company M42 Y995 to Princess Belle
We Astartes, we are so human in our ways, we fight, aruge, love, our brothers, our primarch and ourselves and more. And we are given tasks that are more than us.
No brother they are our tasks, to each of us falls a task. And well the Emperor asks of his Astartes the Impossible.
- II/23rd Captain Keldos to IV/23rd Captain Dailern M30 Y565
War is dangerous Milady, we Astartes we are trained for it. Leave saving the people to us. We will do it. Emperor knows we have done it before.
-Ancient Davien Federon, I/1st Company M42 Y995 to Neo Queen Serenity 2nd Defense of Terra
War, War, War. We keep fighting. We keep going forward, perhaps man shall gain through our blood. The blood of Angels...what it wants. And I dont know that.
-Reculsiarch Markos Felkan M38 Y674
Courage, Honor, Viritue. That is what seperates us from our foe. What makes us what we are. The Legiones Astartes. Our foe is everything we are not.
-Ancient Davien Federon to Princess Giselle M42 Y995 2nd Defense of Terra.

SEGMENTUM ULTIMA
XENO HERETIC WORLD-(Alderax)
The world had embraced the Greater Good, the Planetary Governor had done so as well, the Water Caste diplomats had shown the Greater Good to be far superior to the Imperial Creed, there were those who still believed in the Emperor, they took to the hills and forests to hide and mount some guerrilla raids against the Tau and the human traitors.
In a cave they waited, tired and grim, warriors of the 45th Alderax PDF Regiment, las-guns low on ammunition, their numbers were few and far between. Tanks were destroyed ,aircraft gone. The men gathered around a vox caster they had taken in a raid. It was hoped that the Imperium of Man would know the fate of this world.
THIS IS THE 45th ALDERAX PLANETARY DEFENSE FORCE TO ANYONE OUT THERE, GOD EMPEROR SAVE US THE TAU HAVE COME AND ENSLAVED THIS WORLD.
This was repeated over and over again, some psykers had escaped and they sent the message further out into the void from hidden parts of the planet. Who it reached, the Tau would definitely regret.
WATCH FORTRESS ADRANDOR
ORDO XENOS STATION
The great fortress hung in the void, it was a place of mystery, of vigiliance and terror to the enemies of the God-Emperor of Man ,ships came and went, the sign of the skull bearing I of the Inquisition, Astartes in black and silver circled in the halls. Grim men and women paused over data-slates containing data that would decide if worlds would burn in cleansing flame.
"First Alderax and then what, the blubies could damnably move against Ultramar of all things. We have Astartes available, teams Saber and Rampart, both at full strength, several Storm Trooper regiments and those of the Guard, then the First Swords II Company is ready. " The young Inquisitor, Emmet Macern looked to his other more senior colleagues.
One grim hawk nosed man at the head of the table smiled at his young protge recently he was a Investigator, looking at much data, now here he was planning a campaign, there was Imperial resistance still on the world, all they needed was hope that an Imperial Liberation Fleet was coming. All looked to him as senior Inquisitor. "I approve, we must cut all threats in the bud. And then press on towards the Tau home world." That was the end of it, the words of Lord Inquisitor Jan Diverman of the Ordo Xenos were absolute.
INQUISITORIAL LIGHT CRUISER
IRON JUDGEMENT
The cruiser had been extensively modified, it was lucky for a young Inqusitor to be so highly favored, he had a cruiser and its escorts at his disposal in addition to his personal vessel a smaller thing in one of the massive vessels bays. The Imperial Navy and Inquisition had a good and amicable relationship which lead to ships being placed in Inquisition service. Direct from the shipyards.
The massive bridge had all the things to run a ship like this, the large cathedral like windows looked out at the stars, the place was decorated with icons of the God-Emperor and of the script of the Holy Creed, the crew were human Navy crew and Servitors ,half man and half machine creatures that preformed menial functions on the ships bridge. Macern looked down from beside the captains chair. The captain was a man, barely so, with augments, the man was wired into his chair. A large golden throne much like the one that the God Emperor sat on.
"Shall I give the word, the rendezvous with the Liberation fleet is in the next system?" Macern turned to the Captain, "I will, thank you." He opened a vox channel to the small group. Trust in him and he shall deliver us to our "We are bound on a mission of Liberation for the God Emperor. That is all." The great shutters came down shutting out the power of the warp. The Inquisitor heard the wisps of Daemons, psyker that he was. He rubbed his temple, the act of Warp travel was not hard on him but he did not mind it.
The Inquisitor left the bridge, he headed through the massive doors and then to the lift that took him down to the level necessary, the ship was massive for a light cruiser, then again the ships of the God Emperor were massive, designed to instill fear into the enemy and instruments of death it carried were not merely the massive cannons, there were other instruments, more then men but perhaps less then men.
The lift stopped on one deck with a large Inquisitorial insignia on two massive doors, This was different, it was a different sort of thing behind them. The skull and cross bones was a sign. Of elite of the elite. The Deathwatch, the chamber militant of the order he served. The Inquisitor went through the doors, the armory was like no other, full of heavy weaponry. Grim men checked their weapons. They wore the badge of their chapter they had been drawn from on the opposite shoulder from normal, as of now they were Deathwatch. They looked at Macern as he came in. Grim hard stone like faces.
"As you were Milords, as you know we are going to war. The world of Alderax." He punched up his wrist computer revealing the hive world of Alderax deep on the Segmentum Ultima. He panned out the image to the system. Recent Inquisition intelligence efforts had indicated the Tau were in control of the system with several groups of ships. Not much, perhaps, a few light ships, these were a mix of captured Imperial and Tau vessels. Suitable for garrison.
One of the space marines, his form altered with many mechanical arms, sprouting from his backpack looked at the data. "Smell a trap, why are the Tau resting, why arent they moving on." "Intelligence would indicate a Imperial resistance force." Both Kill-teams gathered around for a briefing. Macern outlined the role the kill teams would play, sow Chaos and then the First Swords scouts and the full brothers would be the tip of the spear.
FIRST SWORD STRIKE CRUISER
ALLANORS SWORD
II COMPANY
RENDEZVOUS
The Space Marine looked out at the fleet, 10 or so Guard and Inquisitorial Regiments and a company of space marines. A fine force, under the command of a Inquisitor, the Chapter would easily lodge protest despite the II Legions successors having a close relationship with the Inquistion. The name Macern was unknown to him. Captain Bisagor of the II Company. The grim Captain had led his brothers into many actions against Daemons and Xenos and Heretics. And well it was just another day on the job.
The Inqusition cruiser dropped out of the Warp. The message was sent, the word was given. It was to be Crusade.

Quotes of the First Swords
What is Heresy Lord-General, I cannot honestly say, all I know is that there are enemies of the Emperor in that hive. And I mean to end them. That is why Astartes were forged no?
-Brother-Captain Valentin of the First Swords IV Company to Lord General Adrian Kelder of the XII Cadian Army Group M39 Y789 Segmentum Pacificus
Forward Brothers, for the Emperor and Allanor, Let us not be found wanting for that is to die dishonorably.
-Brother Peit deValon VI Company M40 Y679 Segmentum Obscurus
The Art of War is a necessary thing that must be learned by all, you as Neophyetes shall learn it and then learn what it means to be Astartes
-10th Chaplain Averos Dilos M41 Y804 Addressing initiates
I go forth to battle in the Name of the EMPEROR ,for he is the Master of Mankind, the Lord Eternal. Those who fight in HIS name are Blessed, those who are against HIM and HIS Chosen are Damned. As it has been so it shall be until the end of time.
-First Sword Litany
The act of killing another Astartes, if it be a Loyal Brother it is Hersey and Treason. To kill a traitor, one who spat on his Oaths sworn before his Emperor and his Primarch is a act worth of Commendation, to kill a traitorous brother of ours is a truly blessed thing, for Allanor desired above all his traitorous sons will be brought to heel.
-Lord Commander Dalon Gaheren M35 Y456 Before the destruction of the Traitorous Swords of Blood warband

Lovehammer II Legion Tale 2 Part 4(Warhammer 40k/Sailor Moon/Attack on Titan) ALL CREDIT WHERE DUE
Gaheren ducked as a 5 meter with a crooked face swung and then leapt and took its head off with a swing of his power sword. The 1st Great Company was in the thick of it, the 3000, three great companies of Astartes were hard pressed to hold this breach in the wall. Titan jaws could not easily pierce the armor of Astartes but well they could kill them, the 15m class titans swung at the Space Marines, there were some who were caught and flung against the walls. Dreadnoughts fired at the titans. Las-beams seemed to work, that and plasma. The cannons that the locals brought to bear, hot shot did not work. Cold shot no matter the kind was bad.
"Aim for the necks, take their heads off." Gaheren called over the vox network, the Lord Commander heard the sounds of ropes, the last thing he needed was more food for the buggers. Then the call came in, Contacts behind our position. 'Fuck" Gaheren said to himself, "That means the buggers, A. Breached another point or...something else." The Space Marines kept up a withering hail of shells and plasma.
The locals had a different method, slashing into the necks of the beasts. They looked at the Space Marines with respect, Space Marines died at the hands of these beasts perhaps just as easily as mortals. The Titans though fell to Space Marine weapons more easily. Sometimes they got back up only to be put down. The smaller ones fell more easily then the big ones. The Space Marines knew that more would come.
"Lord Commander, I/5th reports a breach, multiple, 4 to 5 meters." The Thunderhawks overhead moved to another point. That was when Gaheren noticed his Librarian on the ground. He had his hands to his head. "Suddenly, lighting, a thundercrack, then the red giant and then.....a hole in the wall." The Lord Commander dispatched two companies to back the locals defending the breach. There were two holes in the wall now. The Marines had pushed out the Titans, Rose was where this battle raged.
The First Swords as evening fell counted their losses, the Titans had been driven back, but at what cost, Battle-brothers were dead and they would keep coming sooner or later. The locals came to their encampment with food and drink. They were a symbol of hope, they lacked the materials to close the breach but like Angels they fought on, many lay fallen like something noble. And so ended the second day.
-------------------------------------
The Primarch stood on wall Rose that his sons had died defending, struck down by the Titans. Their corpses now fill the breach , Rose's outer districts had been taken back as well, many of the local warriors were also dead, eaten by the monsters. Serenity had gone off somewhere leaving him as one symbol of hope the people could rely on.
He looked at the people as he walked through the streets, he had killed several strays with his sword, he was not covered in gore, but slightly scalded, the blood of the Titan vaporized. That had bedeviled the Apothecaries, now the Chief Librarian and the Chief Apothecary had managed to get access to the shifter, the one who had saved the city. But then that had been undone by a swift kick from a monster Artouron would love to slay.
The Space Marines had moved the rock back that had been the breach. Allanor walked among his sons encouraging them to keep on standing against the foe, they had been hit bad, ten percent of the force was out of action. Vehicles were being repaired, he had a appointment.
The prisoner was in the company of two officers of the legion and a scout, Levy. A name Allanor had heard spoken in hushed sorts of tones as a man who could seriously slay titans. Also a rumor was, that he was a neat freak. The Primarch ducked his head as he entered the office. "So this is the shifter." Both Valkan and Dilaran looked at their father.
"Sir" They said bowing, Artouron bade them rise, "Well miss Zoe, you are a senior medical officer here are you not?" The young woman wore goggles and a surprised expression that this God-like warrior would be taking an interest in her work. "So you are the little shifter boy? Who killed twenty titans?" Erin looked at this giant. He seemed like Titan himself excepting the fact that he wore armor and seemed far more intelligent.
"What do you want?" Erin looked at Allanor who stared at him with the dark eyes that only a Primarch had. He stepped back and summoned his officers to his side. "Well my sons what have you found?" "He can regenerate, Levy knocked out one of his teeth." Dilaran reached into his belt and then pulled out a tooth. The apothecary appeared suitably impressed. Then Allanor turned to his Chief Librarian. "The memories of that day are their, it is almost like there are two brains inside his head." Evidently the librarian had been impressed by Erin Jaeger.
"Know that I support you joining the sortie, the II Legion will be mounting an offensive. Within hours we had the Titans driven out before there would be crisis within Sina, conditions were improving within Sina and Rose, the space marines kept guard on the walls alongside the stationary troops looking for sign of the monsters. And they were out towards Wall Maria. That was the final objective, Allanor had gone before the council.
Your Majesty and honorable councilors, I do belive that we cannot easily reclaim this world in short order. I don't really know about Titans Ill admit, they are a mystery, precious little is left in your records. And we don't have anything. We know how you kill them thanks to a hunting teams sacrifice. All you need to know, I WILL honor my vow to the people.
"What do you think of him?" "Prone to instability sir." The apothecary had managed to pull some assessment files. Having gotten Eren's military records via major Zoe he could make some assessments. "Also I managed to talk to him, Erin, his father may have what is needed to end it." The Librarian noddded in affirmation. "Go with them, get the documents or whatever. I have a plan for this planet."
-------------------------------
The gate came up, the two marines sat on bikes with the horses of the Scouting Corps. If they wanted horses they would have had to go to Chrogis, but that had been burned, the wrath of Janghatai Khan. But the breeding program still went on at the Imperial Stables on Terra. The two officers sat on their bikes watching the gate come up. It was out towards Maria they went. Data fed towards their helmets guided them towards the objective.
The objective was one of the outer districts, the Space Marines broke off from the scouts. "We are going to wreck our own kind of havoc on the foe." Then they were off towards the district. They were trained in the art of being unseen. The spells of the librarian would keep them covered from Titans. Valkan looked up to the heavens as he drove away. Emperor, Princess and Progenitor watch over them.
The two marines knew the local flare patterns, they could respond, the locals were going to recapture a town. The Space Marines were going in deeper, hostile country. Maria would be retaken sooner or later. The two marines kept eyes on the surrounding country, devastated villages and farmsteads flashed past, wall Maria loomed, a place that the II Legion it was hoped by the marines would hoist the banners high.
Night was falling rapidly, so that would mean Titans could be moving around. The Space Marines could see them through the use of their helms and the lights on their bikes which they dimmed and then proceeded on Auspex and visor alone. The forests were full of Titans, they were dealt with. A tree dropped on them with Valkans mind and a bolter round through the back of the neck and then continue.
The birds, they did not fear these beasts, the Astartes did not fear the titans. They did not fear much of anything, they knew the Titans weakness and in the mobile Forges the Tech-marines worked to prefect the weapons necessary to hunt titans. Then again perhaps the Space Marines of the II Legion had what was necessary to hunt down the Titans.
The two Space Marines traveled many miles that night. The Scouts would probably have succeeded and then returned to the walls. Then again they would have to perhaps hold the town. And the II Legion would have to be called out. A vox call came in. Secure that data at all costs.

"Contact dead ahead, multiple 5 Meters. Count 6 we need backup. There are a lot of them."
"Affirmative captain Adros. I am on my way."
Lord Commander Tykon Gaheren of the 5th Great Company stepped down the ramp from the front of his Land-raider, he drew his Bolter as the form of a 5 meter came hurtling over the line of defense that extended between the edges of the gap in the wall, the 5th, 1st and 7th Great companies were on the guard of the city, several blocks were mined and then blown claiming several titans. Killing teams were on them in seconds with bombs, bolters and swords.
"Some of the buggers will jump, be on the lookout."
Gaheren advanced with his command squad, the Librarian Isak Dakos, opened fire with his mind sending a large ball of flame at a 15m that was coming towards them. The Land-Raider finished it off with a las bolt from one of the quad-cannons on the massive vehicles hull. The space marines looked for threats, the titans could be destroyed with a well placed bolter round to the neck. Destroy their necks was the name of the game so called.
-----------------------------
In the trial room the two Marines stood at the back as Levy dished out a beating on Erin. He seemed cold and clinical as he did so. The two space marines had seen things like it before. One woman in glasses with a scout badge on her jacket looked at Dilaran and the Helix on his shoulder. The judge seemed to follow her gaze toward the two marines. "Will our esteemed guests come forward, perhaps they can shed light on this, business. Check him over and such"
The two marines advanced down the isle, everyone seemed to treat Astartes with respect and a bit of fear. The two senior officers of the Legion stood behind Erins post as he hacked up blood from Levys brutality. Dilaran spoke first, "He killed twenty titans corporal?" The space marine medic removed his helmet with a hiss of seals. He placed it on the ground as he knelt beside the wounded boy. Levy gave him a few more smacks to the gut. Dilaran looked at him. "You know he could bleed internally, lungs flood with blood. seen it happen and it is not pretty." Levy just rolled his eyes.
The Chief Librarian began to sift into Erins mind looking for something, anything. The memories were very distant. The judge looked at the two space marines. He seemed like he had forgotten something. "Ahh, yes call me Adrio, and my associate and esteemed battle brother Peldanos. I am Chief Librarian of the II legion and he is the Chief Apothecary." Levy stood with his boot on Erins head.
Peldanos looked at Erin, he was bleeding badly, no he was bruised. While the Space Marines conducted their examination, Erin would not feel the Chief Librarian probing his mind. Valkas had been well trained in the art of probing without being felt. The business of letting the Space Marines near the prisoner, they were trained soldiers by the look of them. And well they had killed many Titans. Everyone in the city had crowded onto the walls and watched the Angels fight, the old judge included.
A officer in the crowd raised his hand, the two space marines looked up. "I have a proposal sir. Erins potential is still unknown I propose we take Erin, with Levy and the two warriors out beyond the wall." Levy looked to the judge. "I can handle Erin should anything happen." The young scientist, she had the look of a scientist and her mind seemed to Valkan to indicate it. Rational thought patterns and a desire to understand Erin
Dilaran looked to the judge. His mouth was twisted into a sneer from a shrapnel wound. Leaving a scar, his hair was cut short as was most space marines. "I see no problem with that a sortie outside." With that the two Marines left and the tribunal adjourned. Dilaran went to see to Erin Jaeger a bit more privately. In the company of Levy.
------------------------------
The thunder-hawk entered the atmosphere rapidly, it would not be seen by Atrouron and his warriors although it was known to the II Legion that these warriors would be arriving, these were of another legion, one that struck from the shadows, their leader and progenitor known as the Night Haunter. He sat in the back as his sons spoke litanies over their weapons and prepared his own trademark claws.
"Pilot, how long until drop"
"Three minutes to drop zone Lord Curze." sounded in his collar.
"Good." He smiled under his dark hair, the thought of shedding blood always interested him. Made him feel happy inside, the business of fighting these Titans so called would be bloody. Oh so very bloody and messy, some in the Imperial Adeptus Medicae and some Night Lords Apothecaries feared that the tendancies of the Blood Angels, the after effects of Sanguinius's headache after Sereinty redeemed Horus and the others could spread.
The drop came up and the door opened. Konrad led the way the air rushing in buffeted him, he looked out at the forest below. He activated his jump pack and then fell, the engines ignited, two squads of the Night Lords veterans dropped behind him. The Haunting of the Walking Towers had begun.

Lovehammer II Legion Tale 2 Part 2(Warhammer 40k/Sailor Moon/Attack on Titan) ALL CREDIT WHERE DUE
Artouron stood and spoke to the masses of people who came to see him, the King stood to one side, evidently the Lord of Acroclestia had won over the people with his grace and charm. The Astartes stood head and shoulder over the common people in blue-black squares, celebrations filled the night. Angels walked among men and so the Titans would be driven back and purged utterly. The Primarch spoke, his tones rich and full of confidence and charisma,
People of this world, of this city I am honored to meet such a people as you. Who have struggled against beasts that would drive many to despair and to madness. And you have thrived in spite of that. A great feat, but now you need not dwell so. My sons and I will avenge your dead, you shall build houses from the skulls of Titans we fell as you spread forth across this planet. We shall purge the beasts.
He returned the salute of the soldiers who were listening to him, a gauntlet banging against his chestplate. Artouron did not belive in long speeches. He was more for action and inspiring by deed and by the legend of deeds. He led his legion to where they had been permitted to make camp in the outer cites, they set to work repairing the walls. The primarch and his sister sat in council.
"Serenity, my Librarians report that all is not well on this world. Malevolence is at work somewhere. This may take more than a purge operation against beasts." Serenity nodded in reply. "Perhaps we may have to take control of this world brother. Due to the wall damage I have taken the liberty of summoning Peturabo and Rogal and their Legions to assist." Allanor winced, the things he could barely stand were few and far between and Rogal and Peturabo arguing was one of them.
"Are you sure sister that the arrival of the Fists and the Warriors would help the situation? Rogal and Peturabo, they don't get along." The Primarch looked at his sister to make her reconsider, the fortresses the II legion had built, the Acropoli had held against far worse then the Titans on this planet. "None the less they are the best engineers in the Imperium." Allanor led the way out of his tent, in the distance the II legion had been working to build something to defend the breach in Maria.
"Let it be said that the II legion is an excellent force of Astartes and my sons are among the most well-rounded of warriors." Artouron spoke true for bastions had been built by the First Swords that both Peturabo and Dorn had confessed they would be hard pressed to breach with their Legions. The First Swords took pride in their work.
Allanors comms beeped. "Allanor here." My Lord I am reading multiple contacts approaching the city." A Thunderhawk circled overhead looking down at shapes that were appearing in the breach. Space Marines moved through the streets. Artouron had pitched his tent in a ruined warehouse that had been stepped on by a Titan in some previous raid. He mounted his jetbike and sped down the street as bolters began barking as the first titans attacked the breech in wall Maria.
----------------------
Chief Librarian Adiro Valkas walked into the citadel his helmet clutched at his side under one arm. His power sword was secure at his waste as was a plasma pistol. The officials coming and going seemed to give him a wide girth. Behind him came Lord Apothecary Peldanos Dilaran. The apothecary kept his helmet on to hide the fact that a fourth of his face had been badly scarred.
The two space marines asked for directions to the proper courtroom. They could hear heated voices coming from inside. Two Military Police officers stepped forward. "You do not have....." The sergeants words died on his lips. "Go right in Honored Lords." The two Space marines ducked into the courtroom. A grim situation was here. They had heard from the Primarch that this was a tribunal concerning one of the Scout Corps
The judge looked up at the two Space Marines against the back wall he was old and the arrival of the Space Marines so called was something he had found a slight annoyance. But they seemed to be standing in the back of the room. Then Captain Levy came forward to offer his appraisal of the situation of Eren Jaeger the one who was tied up.
Valkas looked at the crowd, there were friends of Mr Jaeger a black haired girl and a blond haired boy who had it to about his ears. They seemed to be concerned about the fate of the boy who was sitting on his knees chained to an iron post. Valkas did not probe the minds of the people present he could sense the emotions that boiled around the room. Memories came back to him of a breach of Rose earlier, the day before the arrival of the Legion, this Eren Jaeger had morphed into a Titan.
Dilaran tapped him on the shoulder, Levy had kicked Eren in the face and was proceeding to smash him in the gut. Valkas raised an eyebrow at the whole business. If the II legion needed to do something like this there would be a investigation. The Primarch would preside and the business would not involve anyone getting hit.
People of this world, of this city I am honored to meet such a people as you. Who have struggled against beasts that would drive many to despair and to madness. And you have thrived in spite of that. Lovehammer II Legion Tale 2 Part 1(Warhammer 40k/Sailor Moon/Attack on Titan) ALL CREDIT WHERE DUE
The council argued and debated, the King sat with his head in his hands it was late at night. They had breached the outermost wall, Maria and then Rose the second. And well they howled at the gates, there hunger for flesh overwhelming the people inside. The people demanded action. The King raised a hand for silence. "I have found something that may be the answer to our problems." He snapped his fingers and an officer of the Military Police came forward with a box marked with a double headed eagle. It was small and black and also it was marked with a sliver I with a skull.
One of the Councilors a woman missing a leg and walking with a crutch looked at the King with his little box. "What is that going to do for us? The monsters are going to be battering down the gate." "We have the shifters" Said an old one-eye man. "But they have a potential to go rouge." "We CANNOT allow that Reidman." The King looked at his bickering Council his eyes flashed with annoyance. "I can summon our salvation, no more warriors will die."
This caused the councilors to look at the king, " Your Majesty what can you summon that would mean the end of Humanity's suffering?" "What can end the Titan troubles?" The doors flew open and a woman walked in, she had an aura about her, she seemed to be ethereal, her skin was pale and she was clad in armor of white marked with a crescent moon and the same double headed eagle. Her voice awed the Council, her very words dripped with hope, something so Alien in these dark times. In this dark city, the last bastion of humanity against that which sought to consume it. "Greetings, I am Serenity, Princess of the Imperium."
"We know not of any human kingdoms beyond this one, we are the last ones left, how in Gods name did you survive in the Titan fields woman." Serenity lowered her hood, her appearance was, alien to the people, pale skin and long golden hair. her face was pale and she was smiling with wide blue eyes. A wave of her fingers and the box floated into her hand. The buzz of the room went completely silent. What IS this woman Was in the minds of all present.
A press of a button on the box and images sprang to life, of machine crossing the stars as if the space between them was the sea and plunging into a place of darkness and emerging in the sky. There was commotion in the streets as holes appeared and then the flaming things that landed in the streets beyond the safe walls. Shots rang out like muskets but they seemed as loud as cannons. There was the shrieking sound of great metal birds descending from heaven discharging on the titans naught but death with loud bangs or with beams of blazing light or bombs.
The King and his council rushed onto the balcony Serenity stood with them watching the II Legion brutally drive the foe from the city. The Council was awed by this display of firepower as the Titans were, Dying and fleeing in droves.
"What is the Imperium?" Said the King looking to Serenity.
-------------------
Allanor ducked a little five meter tall titan and then swung his sword removing the beasts legs. Then he thrust it into the beasts neck, removing head from shoulders. There were several such fights being waged by squads of space marines against the titans. The vox in Allanors collar rang with the sounds of his sons fighting the titans.
I see three 1-5 Meters dead ahead
Confirm, watch it Sargent, we got 3 0-5 meter gremlins.
Hooks away
Blow the charges
Thats a kill
Allanor was confronted with a 15 meter tall titan, memories of battle with his brother Lorgar infused with the power of the Warp came back, his brother had been about that height. The fact of fighting such things that loomed over a Primarch, one of the Emperors sons. That was not good, it would have to be brought down. Rush between the things legs and then snick, snick and the thing fell down. Then jump on the things back and stab its neck. The ruins rang with the sounds of bolters, his sons weapons proving most effective against the titans.
The beasts were fleeing, now was not the time for a purge. "Hold my sons, now we shall show ourselves to the city long deprived of hope." The Space marines checked to make sure the titans were not breathing. "Disgusting are they not father". Allanor turned to an Apothecary of the Legion. "No fatalities sir from being eaten, the men were quick on their feet but the percussive shock of their steps hurt many, we are whole. Unlike that scouting team we had the honor of avenging, caught unawares by some bloated beast."
Allanor nodded, the young faces so full of life and determination, he being forged for war ,a God basically could take it. What would the youths comrades think, their friends now consumed by a foul beast. Mortals interested him, but his true joy was war, there were formulas to follow. The II Legion had fought traitorous mechanical titans. Now it was living things.
He turned towards the city walls. Horses came out of the gate with warriors on them. Wearing green cloaks like the ones who were killed and who led the II legion to its first titan kill. They looked at the field of dead titans draped over the houses and the giants that had felled them. Wearing armor of blue and black with massive guns clutched in their hands. The primarch was a savage sight with his black hair full of gore and it dripping down his armor. A huge black sword was sheathed at his waist. A wind came and drew his cloak out behind him. Night was a dangerous time to be outside but the II legion had fought daemons, the chosen of Lorgar. So the beasts that preyed on the humans on this planet would not be much of a stretch.
Allanor stepped forward, he seemed to be a giant in his own right but the fact that he had ripped into a titan and his smile, full of sincerity was what made the scouts feel more at ease. Allanor turned towards the boxes that were brought out of a Rhino. They had the remains of cloaks draped over them, they were coffins. The leader of the unit, he wore the same badge as the dead came forward. "Thank you." was all he said.
---------------------------------------------
The people came out into the streets of the inner city, people living in tents and in houses crowded around as the warriors from the stars marched into the inner city. The II legion had taken off their helms revealing faces of warriors who had seen brothers fall against horrors of things and yet retained their nobility and honor.
Allanor rode at the head of the column of 2000 astartes on his jetbike he looked at the people, hungry and tired and yet they had hope for the future, the Space Marines gave people that hope. He did with his smile that caused young women to go weak at the knees sometimes.
He led his men to the center of the city. And everyone stood silent waiting for him to speak.
One of the Councilors a woman missing a leg and walking with a crutch looked at the King with his little box. "What is that going to do for us? The monsters are going to be battering down the gate."
